The underground museum, by Davis Brody Bond, sits at the level of the original tower foundations. Foundation Hall runs along the exposed slurry wall that held back the Hudson, and the Last Column stands there. The inside page describes each space.
How the visit descends
The pavilion by Snøhetta holds the tridents, the café and the store at street level. Elevators and escalators connect every level, a ramp leads to the overlook by the information desk, and the museum is fully accessible. The plaza above is free; the memorial-vs-museum page separates the two.
